With LSPD and SASP seemingly always in fancy sports cars these days, we dive deeper into finding out why. Do these officers have need for speed? Or are they struggling with catching up to these lowly criminals? We interviewed briefly with Chief of Police, Diesel Wintergreen and self identified corrupt cop Icarus White. They have a bit to say about what’s been going on recently. The response Chief Wintergreen gave right as we asked “Why are there so many interceptors?” Was that “they are cool.” Followed by that they “Need to go fast to catch fast.” It seems as if the chargers, explorers and other vehicles the department have at their disposal is not enough to catch up to the tuners and other super cars being used by the common criminal. One specific vehicle brought up was the Karin Sultan. How it has a decent acceleration, top speed and nimble enough to be able to slip through alleyways and other parts of the city when evading police. This was confirmed by self proclaimed corrupt cop Icarus White who also mentioned that he is the SASP’s finest driver.
Bringing us to our next subject is the war on drugs. With N-BOMes and other drugs taking over the street, lowly criminals using these tuner cars and high stake exotics to sell drugs and evade police. The police are being left in the dust and left scratching their heads on what they could have done different. The answer seemingly is always to fight fire with fire. Chief wintergreen defends the use of the interceptors and mentions that there is no increased risk to civilians on the road with the use of these high powered cars. The chief also mentions that they have rise of drug trafficking under control and that they will continue to use force and stop our communities from suffering from drug related problems.
